EasyJet To Cut Thousands Of Jobs And Shrink Fleet.

Low Cost Carrier easyJet has announced, that it could dismiss around 4500 of its employees and would also let go some of their aircraft’s.This is happening so the airline could get through covid-19 with a sufficient amount of money to keep the company going.

    Planned Fleet Reduction

The airline is planning to cut down some of its a320 family to save money as they are on a tight budget .easyJet had already put in place a deferral of new aircraft deliveries from Airbus. 114 new planes, all A320neo family jets, are on order for the group, with 24 due to be delivered in the next 24 months. But, as the coronavirus crisis began to bite, the airline secured approval to defer these deliveries until after 2022.

The airline will resume operations on June 15th with a smaller fleet and a smaller amount of employees. But hopefully they will recover from this terrible crisis and start operating hassle free.
