All UAE inbound Etihad flights require passengers to wear tracking bands for 14 days.

Etihad Airways is the 2nd largest carrier and a flag carrier of UAE. It is a huge airline which like others was hit by Covid-19 pandemic.

The Covid-19 epidemic has heavily and negatively affected the aviation and travel industry. Etihad has come with the particular policy to limit the spread of this disease. Etihad has made it mandatory to wear a medically approved wristband for 14 days to monitor the Covid-19 symptoms. This guideline is available on their website too.

The traveller picks up the wristband from AUH airport officials after immigration. The only permitted exemptions are for those holding diplomatic passports, individuals under the age of 18, or over 60, or those suffering from a chronic disease. High-risk country citizens are supposed to be quarantined in the government facility.
It is essential to have a negative Covid-19 PCR test (obtained within 96 hours of intended arrival/departure from Abu Dhabi) — before you fly with Etihad (excluding those under 12)

You will undergo thermal screening at the airport, and PCR testing for everyone over the age of 12 is mandatory. Passengers are advised that this process may take some time to complete.
Violation of this rule will lead to severe penalties. This is to reduce the overflow of cases worldwide. It is a good move on Etihad’s part to outline a policy which is going to reduce instances of this pandemic from their side. This policy was drafted recently by Etihad. Remember to stay safe, wash hands regularly and avoid going out.
